Defi boost gauges are great. Little pricey but worth it.

Other mods worth noting are:

Walbro fuel pump
Downpipe
02 housing
testpipe
Custom tune

fuel pump for sure on VIII's cause they are know to die..which would be bad news...take a look at Stewart Warner gauges..good looking and accurate for a reasonable $$$...next you should get a Boost controller...but the above poster has it right on the noce, if you do his mods mentioned you would see a very Noticable increase in POWER...congrats on ur purchase!

i was wondering, when i was looking to buy an evo i was obviously looking to find one with low miles. there are people selling evos with, for example 65K and higher for still $20,000. i also heard that turbo cars dont last as long as normal cars. is this true? the people that sell their evos with 65K miles on it are evos that are ready to die?

I got 22,800 miles & bought for $21,750 on my '03... reason why the car was so much was bc i got it from a dealer. Plus my '03 was purchased in July of '05 so its technically, not even 2 years old yet lol. My 3yr 36k mile warranty is still valid right now for another year!

if you buy a tune and they added fuel, find another tuner because these cars come from the factory incredibly rich to begin with.
