Had anyone experience with their EVO 9 that their shifter squeeks when you first shift into 1st gear?

mine squeeks when I shift into 2nd and that's the only gear that it sqeeks. Luckily my tbe drones out the squeek most of the time lol

I put a little grease on mine after that linked thread, and it got rid of the issue. It seems like it might be coming back though, and I'll probably just leave it this time. Car makes enough noises as it is, another squeak isn't gonna bother me. =p

I had to pull the dash apart and pull the console to fix the heater knob won't turn problem. Since my shifter had started squeaking, well, there it was. So, I lubed it up. Problem gone.
