im looking at buying the HKS cams in the race grind. what kind of supporting mods should i have before putting these in. i know im going to need a tune after they are installed....

anyone have them?
how are they?
do they make a big difference?

 

Are they even out for the IX yet? I cant say enough about the S1. I have them in my IX and wow. I will post a write up when I go and get my numbers. Nothing else changed so it will be a good to see on a mildly modded car

GSC's or Cosworth.

 

What mods do you have already? Don't tell me just shifter bushings.

 

I would do the standard mods first:

fuel pump
manual boost controller
turbo back exhaust
air filter
cams
tune

 

Find yourself a staged upgrades list and follow it. Cams should not be the first item you are looking to upgrade. There are staged upgrades at www.ttp-engineering.com.

 

i dont just have shifter bushings...

when the cams go in, i will have
-tbe
-fuel pump
-mbc
-tune after the cams go in
-fmic and piping
-small battery
