grounding kit?

I am looking for some input on the hks circle grounding kits as well as other grounding kits....I am wondering if the people that are using them can see a difference in there car, than before they had it. Are they really necessary?

Dude...buy the Sun Auto CyberSpeed kit from me...I'll sell it to you for 60 bucks plus shipping...It's never been used

Ah...and they are supposed to stabalize the voltage in your car so that your lights are brighter, throttle response is crisper, and you might possibly save some gas

He was asking about how well they work and anything informative about the kits out there....not to have someone say buy from me. Do you have insight to his question?

I don't have one, as I read they really didn't do much, and if you wanted to get a "Grounding kit", you can make one with stuff from Home Depot for $10 or something. THAT thread is out here somewhere. I say save your money bro!

oh ok, i guess its more or less a bling bling upgrade....they do look cool, but im not into spending money to make my car look cool if it doesnt improve performance.

this is a great upgrade ....no so much a hp upgrade but i does help your electrical system out....better conductor for ground means lower impedance...less resistance....so your alternator doesnt have to push as hard and as some one else mentioned helps stabilize voltage throughout your electrical system.....you dont have to buy some brand name kit....i just use good quality 8 gauge power wire you would by for installing an amp in your car....there is really no difference in electrical impedance between the two kits.

its a waste of money and time. looks cool I guess though if you wanna dress up the engine with sparkley wires. If you use a high quality meter, I used a FLUKE, the resistance change from all the important parts measured within 0.017 ohms.

Grounding kits don't really make a difference in practice as everything is properly grounded (and has to be) from the factory. There is certainly less resistance when you install one but I have never seen a grounding kit make power on the dyno on any car. If it fixed a running problem or an issue with a dim headlight, there was almost always an existing grounding issue with the car in question.
