yah tien super racings are pretty good.

from my research the only springs to get are the swifts but thats a little ot.

i agree mostly with what warrtalon says he knows his stuff. but i think that if i were you i would call up ams, get their advice on what parts they would reccomend then i would shop around and find the best ones for the money. for example to keep the budget in mind, ams will definately recomend a tbe and theres is like $1000 (i have it and think its awsome) but instead of just buying their exhaust you could always save some cash and get the buschur tbe for %750 or something. now i personally wouldnt do this i would get all my parts from ams but thats just me good luck with what you are doing.

my list would be tbe $800
walbro 255 $100
mbc $80
intake filter $80
licp $250
cams $550
o2 housing $60
coated/ported exhaust mani $150
maybe ams fmic (for the blingness haha) $695
then tune and install should put you right at $3000

for cams i wouldnt get headstuds unless you plan to run at least 25 psi, i have heard that there are more problems that come from installing headstuds than problems that come from not doing headstuds.

install on cams alone should be around $200-$250
good luck

900 miles on the car huh?

How about saving your money and learn how to drive the car first. You can only go so fast on the street anyway right?

Do the labor yourself, that is simple stuff.

If you are getting tuned, might as well ditch the stock air box and get an intake.

Its not hard to make em fast, my first mods to my IX were...

Intake : $80
MR TBE : $300 (slightly used)
SBR MBC : $25 (slightly used)
Dyno flash tune : $300

So for $705.00 i made 330 whp on buschurs dyno, and ran a 12.1 @ 115.64 (with a boost leak)

Just spend your money where it counts.

Ok from what I see this thread is dead, just some stupid comments. How do you know which cars I have and if I can drive or not? A TBE and tune is not a big deal. I'm not going to get into a dispute about which parts I have on my car or where/how I drive it, that is off topic. I love how my car is set up and it drives perfectly. It looks the way I want it too as well. I'm not paying my money out to make a car the way someone else says it should be, I simply asked for advice if people thought the$3000 was a good choice of parts. So all you people that find it necessary to reply to every post, learn to mind your own business or at least don't comment on off topics. I see some of you need a girlfriend or a new hobby. Later, I'm done with these pathetic losers.

didnt you previously drive a CRX ? ?

Who said anything about going fast on the street. A couple maps, and that car could be a track rocket and a nice DD when tuned down...

I was in this same situation last week, when I decided to put 5k in parts on my stock IX. I spent a good deal of time on the phone with Nick (Buschurs), and via emails with Nick and Warrtalon trying to come up with the most bang for my buck. I think you have a solid set up with what you have listed except the plugs. You need an MBC. Switch out the plugs for an MBC, and if you can go over budget a little, get a set of cams. Above all else call AMS and get their advice.

If you were closer to Buschur, then Warrtalons advice is very sound. His package with them is a great base set up, and easy to build off of. Good luck.

Evobeatsti, did you check your math? The parts you have listed add up to $2765 NOT including the tune OR installs. The tune at AMS will be around 500, and he said he was quoted 500 for installs NOT including the cams. Your list would put him closer to 4k than 3k. Subtract the FMIC, and he's in better shape...

However, I don't think we can help this guy. We tried to help and then he got defensive about his POS springs. He actually wrote that he loves his setup and things it rides "perfectly." We all know that's not true with his springs, but apparently he's more interested in lowering the car rather than improving handling. He also doesn't care that he's going to blow his shocks...oh well.

Hard IC pipes do in fact increase throttle response (they don't flex under high boost like the rubber pieces).

Do it right the first time. That way you won't be going back to constantly retune for things you could have or should have done the first time around as that gets costly. A TBE, GSC S1 cams, K&N filter, ebc and a flash(Vishnu ) of some sort on your evo9 & you could stay well within your budget and easily accomplish your performance goals.

If you have a little extra cash, splurge on an alky kit and unleash the ultimate torque monster on the streets. Better yet, drop some bigger injectors in and run e85 all day long if you can get it on the pump!

It's very minimal, because the stock IC system is only partially silicone. This is common knowledge that there is very little difference, and the only ones worth doing are the straight ones like the Buschur setup, which requires an intake and mini-battery for clearance.
