who all use silencer with their exhaust?

i got pulled night before and the cop was nice enough to let me off with a warning cause he got another call and left in a hurry. I didn't want to chance it again, so when i go out during nights, I use my silencer. Does anyone else use their silencer often?? and if u guys do, how do u take it out? i always have a hard time taking the silencer out.

I used to use one but the 20-30 hp loss isn't worth it so I just got a quiet exhaust. With a silencer you essentially turning your 3inch exhaust to 1.75 inch exhaust which is worse than stock.

I just posted a thread about this last week. Most guys don't give a **** and just leave it out all the time. I more than likely will as well. do you have a HFC?

A Cat-Back should be legal, as long as it meets a certain dp level. Even if you would have actually received the ticket, you could have had it dropped. It just would have cost you your time to deal with it.

yeah, cops got nothing to do nowadays, i would rather put the silencer on during nights when i need to go somewhere, come back normally within a hour, it's just a pain to take it out.

Install = less than 20 sec
uninstall= 5 min

Not in New York. Any modification to make the exhaust louder than stock is illegal.

I use the silencer on long road trips since it's easier on the ears. Otherwise, I let her breathe.

If I drive the car as my DD my wife will **** and moan until I put the silencer in. So I compromised and bought her a new car and took her old one as my new DD.

You should never use a silencer proven to hurt power.
