Angry Why i LOVE my Brembos

So yesterday after work i was driving to school on I-75.... as it was rush hour, i try to stay in the far right hand lane or at least out of the crazy people's way ( which is the fast lane of course)

THere is a mini van pulled over to the side of the road not moving.. no blinker nothing.... so i think nothing of it... out of nowhere the van just pulled out into my lane.. within just lengths of my car...

I have never in my life had to slam on my brakes soooo hard... i was in inches ( literally) of hitting her.. she pulls back over to the side... leans out her window screaming .... and throwing her hands in the air...

i was like are u flippin' kidding me lady? It didnt even look like her car was on... god forbid she uses her blinker to signal that she is merging.. onto oncoming traffic... going 75+ mph...... without looking if someone is coming!!!!!!

Those brakes work awesome i must say

Sorry for the rant! lol

That has happened to me quite often.

It seems that turn signals / blinkers are optional nowadays.

When I go through a close call as what you described I initially get angry (it's natural), but just thank god that nothing happened .

Wait till you upgrade the brake lines, brake fluid, or brake pads because the stock brakes will feel spongy after that.

You should have pulled up next to her and gave her a lecture on blinker/turn signal usage.

Similar thing happened when I first got my evo....soccer dad with van full of kids decided stops signs werent meant for him...I told him he was lucky if I wasnt in my dd; I wouldn't have slammed the brakes.

Ever hear of always leaving yourself an out? You should have expected that to happen long before it did it's called defensive driving. Always expect the unexpected.

You can plan and be defensive all you want...but if the idiot decides to go at the last minute...there is not much you can do.

So do you stop everytime you see a car on the side of the road thinking it will turn onto the road.

you need to drive in NYC, DC and many other big cities...I would rather take luck than defensive driving any day of the week

lol, if i see the opportunity of cutting someone off to go faster id do it, but theres ppl that cut you off and slowdown [on the left lane] WTF, oh well what can you do...

-just this morning on my way to work i was on the lane before the far left lane(<this lane merges) passing a toll. i have the right-of-way. so im driving speeding up and a corolla tries to merge in front of me, so fine ill let him pass... ...all of the sudden a 07 G35 sedan, speeds up right behind the corolla and right next to me on my left... he starts tailgating the corolla (merging) and pushes me off the lane in to the next lane on the right, luckly i had no cars on that lane
1. the as$hole is on the phone
2. i dont think he even lookd and just took the lane
3. roadrage is a biotch

at my location and then tell me about bad drivers. When you see a car on the shoulder like that you have to expect them to pull out or for somebody to get out of the car and into your lane. As soon as you see the car on the shoulder you adjust your speed so you can make an evasive move into the next lane or on a 2 lane road into the oncoming lane. I use to drive for a living and have been trough about 10 different defensive driving schools it's an art that's learned and needs to be practiced , you have to look far ahead and presume they're all out to get you because they are.

Haha....yea I expect people to pull out...I try to get in a different lane if possible. But once in a while I will see idiots pull out without looking. The worst are the ones driving their phone booths around, i.e talking on the cellphone.

I must say the brembos have prevented a few accidents. I think if i was in a car with less braking power things could of ended up badly.

I hear stopping at red lights is also a sign of weakness.
