Whats up everyone. I am new to this forum. I am a bastard of sorts, not owning an evo. You may wonder why I am here, and I guess my reason would be that I am a huge fan of cars. I like to immerse myself in as much info as I possibly can. I am a fan of evo's, so I enjoy reading and discussing with the owners.
I own a 2001 2.5RS coupe. Its slow, but its fun to drive. I am working on a motor build at the moment that should be pretty potent.
For a job, I am a warranty manager for Lotus Cars, USA for the dealership here in salt lake city.

I guess I do have a little bit of Evo in the Subi, I installed Evo 9 Seats!

I have a closed deck EJ22 block that I am building. I am trying to decide if I want to put some darton sleeves in it and make it a closed deck 2.5l. I was lucky enough to find out that the machine shop that Axxis Motorsports and Cobb uses for their engine builds is in my home town. So I have an in!
I am going to go hybrid and use SOHC heads because I have them. When I get the long block put together, I wills start considering my turbo options.
I am planning for 300-350, but I would prefer to overbuild and have potential for bigger power if I choose.
I cant bring myself to buy a new car. I cant leave things alone, and would blow my warranty in a week. I have done tein flex coilovers on my car with the edfc, and when I put my track tires on, I seem to find myself needing a new motor.
My last track day, I spun a bearing. It sucked.

. and there's nothing wrong with his 2.5. welcome to the forums brotha
Hey dude, I own an evo (wrecked) and an RS coupe as well.
Guess what, I've got a built 22t closed deck block hybrid.
I would suggest just stroking your block to 2.4 liters with the phase 1 2.5 crank and rods with wiseco's. Plenty strong for your power goals and save big money over darton installation.
Good luck with the project...
