Intake

Hey, i am looking your opinion on which intake to choose. I read this article
http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

and it looks like apexi got it right.

I have a K&N cone, for some looks and ability to reuse it. But I have a tune to support it.

I ran both a k&N drop in and the HKS RS...I stuck with the HKS...air here is clean and I don't drive in the dirt--although I'm dying too.

There are two routes you can go when looking at filters, which I would recommend. You can get a drop-in or a Cone Filter. With the cone you'll be able to hear the turbo spool and BOV. I recently put in a K&N cone and love it. Of course, you'll want a tune if your taking this route.

If you go with the drop-in you'll still make use of the stock airbox. Both options will make gains and the cone may only produce 1 hp or so more than the drop-in. If you plan on getting it tuned at some point soon I would go with the cone otherwise a drop-in will do just fine.

Both filters mentioned above are very comparable in price as well.
