Yestrerday I picked up a used 03 evo 8. I have been in the wrx subaru scene for som time but I must say i can't believe what I was missing out on. The powerband is amazing turbo spool and power is great. The only mods on the car are a drop in filter and tbe but the power with just those mods is much faster than my wrx with thousands of dollars in mods was. I must say I am extremely happy and can't wait til next week to start adding parts and making even more power. I must say I am very proud to be able to be a part of the community. I like the different colored rims, but I'm not a big fan of the small wings. IMO it's just not an Evo without the big wing.

 

What wheels are those? I've heard once you go black you never go back.

Thanks guys I bought the car with 60,000 miles in very good shape for 18,650 with a couple mods including a untuned utech, megan racing catback with resonated test pipe, defi boost gauge and column mount and greddy turbo timer. The wheels are stock rims painted black, I plan on taking them off soon and keeping them for the winter since they have blizzak winter wheels on them. The wing unfortunatly came with the car but I am in the process of a trade with a nother member on the forums for the standard wing. Last night I installed a ttp engineering downpipe on the car and am absolutely amazed by the new performance. Next week I have a set of gsc 280 cams going in with a turbo xs boost controller, walbro pump and tune on the car. I cant wait driving wrxs for so long I never expected this much performance from just a turbo back exhaust I am completely in love, my gf is very jealous

 

Thats going to be my next "mod" as well.
