will this damage the engine?

i took of the panel thing under the hood , so there is only the grill , is it gonna be a problem when it rains?, the bov is there so any comments will be apreciated thanks

Why would you take that off? I hope you didn't do that because of a by pass valve you have?

Seriously, who cares about that sound, you already drive an evo; that should be enough!

it's actually there for a reason. it helps direct airflow out of the engine so that it stays cool. without it, warm air just builds up there and sits trapped when moving due to the air around it pushing down on it. in reality, it only makes heat build up more and you lose some aerodynamicy. mitsu didn't just put it there because they felt like it.

everything on that car is there for a reason, so i say put it back, or u can strip the paint on it so it looks better on

I was wondering the same thing. I looked under the hood yesterday and saw all the clips and fire proofing it was holding up so I'm not messing with it.
