Downpipes and IX MR's

So I was thinking about changing the intake, but everyone keeps saying to go TBE so I think I will.

Now I've heard that the MR's if you get the wrong downpipe you'll get rattling because it doesn't have enough clearance? What are some good MR compatable downpipe + high flow cat's? Already have a Apexi GT spec catback by the way.

DC Sport down pipe with no issue of rattling and I think is the one of the best one out there.

Rattling? I wish all you could get was rattling! When I installed my downpipe I dented it like people said to do. It didn't touch the ACD at that point in time. Well, it settled and within one oil change this is what happened to my ACD.

I had no rattle, no phantom knock, nothing! The downpipe really woke the car up and I will recommend people to put a 3" downpipe on. Just be very careful.

This doesn't effect just MR's. Every evo with an ACD is effected. I have no idea what ones are compatable though.

I .have a IX MR with DC downpipe been running it for like 5k-6kmiles.
It used to vibrate at low rpm. but I fixed it by wrapping it and making sure my exhaust hangers were well padded and lubed

perrin dp and hfc fit well. had to add a small stack of shims at the tie bars and that's it. the full perrin system is fairly quiet under light engine loads. my previous exhaust drove me nuts on the highway.

The new megan 05-06 dp is a good inexpensive choice....

I have a blitz 2.75" dp and have no fitment issues whatsoever, I picked it up with less than 1k miles on it for $75 bucks. I wasnt passing that deal up!
