Welcome me!!!

Well I have been a registered forum member since 2003 but really never posted just mainly a lurker. So why not introduce myself

My name is Mike and I love long walks on the beach

I'm an advid car enthuasist. I have mainly worked on Subaru's since 2002 till present. However my other love is AE86.

I also love the EVO's especially the EVO III and EVO VI.

I'm still debating if I should buy me a EVO 8 or 9.

Mike

I'm getting old and was looking to buy a E60 M5 or a E55 AMG but than again the asian in me is telling me to get a Japanese car because it's that asian blood ya know

The evo's have so much potential. Still looking. Hope I can find me a good one and start building.

The E60 M5 is insane.. I absolutely love that car.

M5 - Performance ~ Luxury ~ Not too much potential but Dinan products could do a lot.

The Evo does have a lot of potential though. To bad the M5 isn't AWD and fairly heavy.

You can get a used M5 for under $30k:

I was mildly considering that car, but always wanted AWD so I went with a Evo IX RS. I just joined here myself and can't wait for the car to be delivered.

I was looking to buy a E39 M5 but they also have numerous and expensive repairs especially the VANOS BWM's valve timing. I think it's about $5000 to replace the 2 VANOS on both heads of the V8.

If you got loot, go for a IX and get a MR with SE package. It'll be a collector car someday.

Welcome! Tough call between M5 or Evo. Two different cars. M5's are very sweet though.

If you go with an Evo, like others have said get a IX. They produce more power-per-mod than the VIIIs.

Good luck with your decision. Keep us posted.
