Smile EvoM noob

hey, guys. i belong to just about every car forum under the sun.. save this one, until now. not a troll really, i just like to know whats going on in the automotive communities. (plus i like to sign up and save all the smilies in my photobucket, so i can use them @ cobaltss.net)

i ran into a bolt on evo the other day. the owner was cool. dont even know how many cars i would have lost by. it wasnt even worth the gas to lose that badly.
anyway, heres the car. Lysholm supercharger swap coming soon. waiting on the blower to come from sweeden.

mods: ZZP 2.9" s/c pulley (16psi), Lucas 42lb/hr injectors (dont know what that is in cc's), ZZP longtube header/ downpipe, custom mandrel bent 2.5" catback w/ magnaflow muffler, aem cai, ported/polished stock supercharger(eaton M62), dyno tune @ tune time performance, SSC lowering springs, NGK BRKE iridium plugs, painted headlight housings, wingless
dyno'd @ 245whp/214wtq on a mustang dyno with pulley, injectors and catback only. regretably haven't been back to see what the new mods did for me.

if you're intrested, i have a walkaround vid in 2 parts.. roughly 3 minutes total, but the camera is 6 megapixels or something, so about 1:30=100megabytes.. dont know how to adjust that.

p.s. dont hold your breath on the TS swap. Ive been waiting since 2005...lol

garret makes a turbo kit for the regular Slobalts, and it will bolt right up to the SS. I even know of people that make adapterplates to put yout throttle body directly on the water to air manifold.

p.p.s. i still browse all the old forums. I like to help the new owners with all their problems.

yeah. dan's having alot of trouble with a local dealership(he lives like 6 miles from me) trying to get his evo. they told him the salesman crashed it and it is no longer sellable.

yeah. i've been a member at ss.net since 05 i remember tag. they suck ***. as far as i can tell, this is actually the same project, that has been passed on to another vendor. (tag apparently couldn't make it work.) i believe they kept alot of peoples deposits- not much hope for a refund from them but luckily at that time i didnt have the cash for it. i was actually looking for a stock evo 8 turbo, to piece together a custom kit.. but that didnt pan out, and now i'm just hoping this guy sends me my twinscrew when they come from sweeden. i've talked to him on the phone. it seems legit.. and they have video proof of it working. tuning isn't an issue for me, cause i've already got a shop that i trust. and the swap itself will be done by me.
idk, if that dosent work out, i can always sell the damn thing and get an '03 evo.. hmmm..

^he he...yep hopefully things will pan out.

i used to be on the shortbuss since 2005, i just got banned for that whole TNT thing, and talking sh-t to Halfcent about how much of a douche he was for hiding a shady vendor from the rest of the forum. They allow a shady vendor to rip people off, and i made that apparent...hence my banning...

you kno MVP on the shortbuss? i helped him build his 2.4L LSJ. Once he gets back we are gonna get that thing up and running, hopefully make a buncha power on the m62...then its turbo swap for him. IMO, a turbo is what the LSJ should have had from the factory. Damn GM, they just didnt want to stiffle SAAB 93 sales...bastids...

i know of shortbus, he had a yellow ss s/c, now he has a silver one i think. but idk about MVP..?

what turbo exhaust manifold is he using? that was the reason i didn't get a turbo. no one makes one yet.. (hahn just put out the 2.4L turbo kit, i guess that one might work) and everyone said the saab stock manifold would not work.
