Will 18 inch rims fit on my lancer?

Im a dumbass when it comes to car spec and tech so go ahead and flame me for being clueless. Anyways with that off my chest i was wondering if 18 inch rims would fit a lancer es(2003 unmodified in anyway) without any breaking problems or space problems. If it does what tire sizes should i use that will work because i know there are tire sizes like 20/blah/blah which ones can i use without there being space conflicts and etc. Please give me some info thx.

18's

Go to http://www.tirerack.com You will find a section in there that allows you to view wheels on your vehicle and off to the side it tells you the recommended tire size that you should use. If you go with 18's you will need a 215/35/18. Good luck.. Also make sure you get the right offset. That means how far the mounting area of the lug nuts is. For instance the bigger offset you go with the better chance it will rub or stick out more making your car look stupid (or just really old school with the deep dish rims).

The profile of a tire is the amount of tire surrounding the wheel. A lower profile tire is simply a thinner tire in that respect.
