do i need a boost controller if i plan on staying stock boost....

i am upgrading my stock evo 8 turob 2003 to the 6.5 tme(titanium shaft) with the 10.5 hotside and i wanted to stay at stock boost, will a flash be enough to stay at stock boost or will i need a boost controller to regulate boost levels?

Should be no problem, the ECU doesn't know what turbo you have installed, it just cares about how much boost it's going to allow to the engine.

But if you get a boost controller, you wont have as much, if any, boost taper in the upper RPM range. Giving you more power.

The ECU will continue to control boost identically through the factory boost control solenoid when you swap your original '03 16G turbo for the TME. If you maintain the location of the two vacuum/boost hoses connected, respectively, to the turbo's compressor outlet pipe ad the WGA, when you do the swap.

The vacuum hose connected to the compressor dicharge tube nipple will stay in the same place, as you just swap the black compressor discharge outlet pipe from the old turbo to the new.

The hose connected to the wastegate actuator should stay connected to the nipple on the wastegate actuator if you transfer your old WGA from the original turbo to the new one as well.
