I wish I bought a used VIII instead...
I bought a new TB GSR IX, and now I am having regrets.... I dont want to mod it because I have the 10 year power-train warranty. Now realistically I am going to prob keep it intact for no more than 4-5 years, but I want to start modding now. I know that if I had a used Evo without a warranty, i would already have a bunch of bolt ons and a flash. Just kinda in a dilemma as to what I should do. Any input or recommendations?
Dude, just mod the dang thing. You probably already lost your warranty just by driving the car off the lot. If something breaks they'll just say you raced or abused it and your warranty will be void.

Great car and horrible service.
Got over 4k miles. Already modded and tuned! Even lowered it with gf210 springs and aligned by the dealer.

Hehe. Yeah. Just go ahead and mod it and try your luck. Anything goes wrong you can always take off the parts and go back to the stealership. It seems like either way if you had an VIII you would still maybe have warranty (depending on miles) anyways and still would want to mod your car and end up in the same situation. Except this time you lost a bit of money but at least you know the history of your car, instead of buying one that has been beat to ****. I THINK YOU HAVE THE MOD BUG
, I still have it too!!!!
I went with basic bolts on for now until I can't resist anymore and get a bigger turbo kit and void my warranty. Maybe in a few years, as this is my DD. Don't feel so bad about the IX, its one of the best. GL whatever you do!!

They still sell them with "warranties?"I can't wait till the X comes out... 10yr/100k mile warranty, plus 4yr/50k free service (ala BMW) (and no, these aren't anywhere near true, but it'd be funny) SOOO many people would buy them, only to be disappointed and screwed later on. Other than insanely expensive to fix cars (who almost always follow their warranty, afterall, you paid for it out the ***) I will NEVER buy a car based on warranty again, and no, the Porsche was not bought on warranty, it doesn't even have one.
In short, as the bald kid from Matrix says, "Stop trying to claim on the warranty, that's impossible, instead try to realize the truth... there is no warranty"

Seriously though PM me
