Better go for a daily driver
I have a 03 VIII with a mail in Dynoflash and a K&N drop in as its only mods. I’ve been wanting to put some reasonable mods into it for a driver with 73k miles. The other day I chased what I think was a second gen Audi S4 on the open highway, and it was all it could do to hang on to it. Sometimes it seems the harder I push it, the more it seems reluctant to go. It just doesn’t feel likes its doing everything it could. A friend recommended a test pipe, but visions of traffic court danced in my head.
There are stealthy exhausts and you can get a high flow cat if you think the coppers will notice. Personally I'd do some logging with a tactrix cable and see if your experiencing any knock which could make it feel like its falling flat.
I have a 03evo8 too. Mine is a daily driver with 83,000miles on it. i still have the stock cat on it too. Im pushing 316 at the wheels right now. And not many cars have pulled on me. Get a full exaust and just leave the cat on like i did the megan is nice and easy on the bank too. Also boost controller is good to have. I also have 272 cams and greddy cam gears. and a fuel pump would help. Thats all i have done to mine and i pull on STI,SRT,Mazda3,Mustangs. I even beat a M3 but i dont think that guy knew how to drive. If u have any other questions just shoot me an email
