My turbo Miata used to do it hardcore... http://videos.streetfire.net/video/7...ac0149361d.htm

I had a high flow cat, no muffler, no resonater. My Evo is catless, no resonater, and the muffler somehow REALLY keeps things quiet. I dont ever hear the turbo wtih my evo

It's just the turbo spooling up and down, you can probably hear it on your car too.

i cant hear it...

when i rode in a TBE wrx it was spooling so loud, just leaving a stopsign normal speeds

is it because we dont build boost at idle?

Thats a what i was gonna say. My buddy's MSM was straight piped and it sounded meaner than a freakin mustang and you could hear the turbo spool through the exhaust like your old one. If you really want that sound run either a straight pipe or just run off the DP.

WRX's don't build boost at idle. I don't start spooling up till say 2500 and I hit full boost around 3000. It might have to do with the size of the turbo.

Intake will let you hear the turbo quite a bit better its pretty "breathy" sounding until it spools up, almost like darth vader. The BOV sound is also MUCH louder when doing this so there you go.

Intake I'm using is Buschur's MAF Pipe and filter kit.

The exhuast sound if from the unequal length headers, the boxer set engine, and the wistler is from most likely a snorkel delete or short ram intake (cone). That is what my room mate with a moded 02 wrx says.

This is exactly right. Put a tiny suby turbo on your car and you'll hear it at low revs. Your car does it, just it becomes audible at around 10psi (stock)
