like some others have said, it's the air filter. i recently borrowed my friends cone filter setup (filter, harness plugin, intake pipe), a simple 5 minute swap. the spooling was much more audible as well as a slight BOV "ppshh".

Intake and air filter. I used k&n but it was blocking all the whistle noise.
Now I have ebay filter and sound way way too loud.
But i dont get whistle sound when my car is parked. Only when I boost in street.
Guessing turbo dont spool high enough parked?

I can hear it clearly with a Works drop-in air filter but not with the stock air filter.

Turbo isn't spooled at all when you're parked.

I put a down pipe and hollowed my stock cat and I hear the whistle. I thought something was messed up.

As someone else mentioned, if you run open header, or an exhaust cutout, you will hear that sound.
