Hey, i was wondering what makes the Evo IX lighter then the VIII?
Wiki:
Evo IX: 1310 kg (2888 lb)–1400 kg (3086 lb)
Evo VIII: 1320 kg (2910 lb)–1410 kg (3109 lb)
Is the front end just lighter or?

as far as my knowledge the roof is lighter the cams are lighter the valve cover is lighter crash beams in doors are lighter both front fenders lighter and hood even lighter, and rims lighter. They are using some kind of aircraft metal in them.... i donnu i read all of this in a brochure last year.

The valve cover is Magnesium, though.
And I thought the standard IX and VIII had all the same aluminum parts, and it was just the MR that got the aluminum roof, but they all still had aluminum fenders and aluminum hoods.
