boost gauge

ok just hooked up my greddy boost gauge and its all good.. but when i put the key in the ignition and start it it goes all the wayto 30 psi and then to my idle -19. so then i turn off the car and take my keys out the needle goes all the way to the bottom. past the -30psi.. what is going on? thanks

your car is running, so there is minimal air flow. that is why the needle doesn't rest at "-30" and notice when you accelerate, if hooked up right, it should increase from -19 to 0 and then beyond to whatever your running at..for instance 15psi.

So of the other gauges dont have stops installed. Dont worry about it. I would be concerned about when it is hitting zero.

must be an electrical gauge, it needs power to read correctly, sounds normal to me.

its regular bro.... its jus turning off... the mechanical ones will always read zero as they are already calibrated to start from zero while the electrical ones do that lil opening display if so equipped SO in other words... ITS NORMAL
