Cobb tuning

My friend owns an STI and he uses cobb tunning. We both have the same performance parts done, TBE, test pipe, MBC, short ram intake and i will be putting on the Walbro ful pump. Is Cobb tunning worth it? Or should i drive the couple hours and pay 550 for a tune on a dyno? How much performance will i really gain from the Cobb is my main question and will it make me as reliable as i would be with the dyno tune

Cobb is for Subies...

Tactrix Cable (~90) + Mellon Tuning (150-250) = great tuning

Friends of mine had Mellon tune their cars - uber fast service and great customer care -- and their cars ran like a top when they were tuned!
