SE vs. MR
Well, that's a little inaccurate, based on Mitsu's provided numbers:
6-speed: 18 city/24 highway mpg
5-speed: 19 city/25 highway mpg
^ Obviously nothing huge, but the 5-speed has better claims, and real-world results should mirror a similar difference between the two transmissions (though maybe not those exact numbers). Personally, I've gotten as high as 26.22 mpg in my SE, I'd be surprised if there are many bone stock IX MRs that can match that.
More Mitsu numbers:
MR curb weight: 3285 lbs.
GSR curb weight: 3274 lbs.
SE curb weight: 3263 lbs.
^ So yes, the MR is only 11 pounds heavier than the GSR, but still 22 pounds heavier than the SE. Once again, nothing drastic, but definitely less weight is welcomed.
