Good, sounds like at least one other shop with a dynodynamics uses the standard 1.0 correction factor (in other words they use what the dyno acutally reads rather than inflating the numbers by using 1.1 or 1.15 or 1.2)

To give you an example, I have an IX and with just a MBC and a down pipe and test pipe, (stock catback) I had 271 hp and almot identical tq. This was before the tune was finished too. I may have put down a hp or two more after that. The best thing you can do in my opinion is take it to the track and see if there is a noticeable difference in trap speed etc.

Instead of complaining to us, you should have complained to Al. Its not like we can make your numbers go up just because you're whining about it. Spending a grand and still not happy...serves you right. You should have done more research before jumping onto the bandwagon.

Large difference. Just roughly, the 9s with a MBC, turbo-back, intake, and custom tune make as much as an 8 with the same mods + cams. MIVEC, better flowing head, bigger hotside, and larger compressor housing really play a large role.

280 seems about right for your mods and your boost : So don't blame Al, he did the best he could with your mods.

If you want 600 hp just sell yours and buy this:https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=302130

Or you could add cams, 10.5 hot side, UIP, LIP, and be right around 320-340.
After that add injectors , big turbo, meth, headstuds, ect
Do some searching and see what mods people have with the HP you want.

to get 600 whp i would get some sort of a built motor, probably like a 2.3 or 2.0 from buschur then a gt 37 turbo kit from ams or buschur with some jun 272 cams and all the other bolt ons,

To the OP, thats about right hp figure on a dyno dynamics dyno or mustang dyno w/ the mods you have on the car.

EVO 8 w/ cams and all the simple bolt-ons will be about 290-310whp. So you are not far behind.. why don't you post up your dyno graphs and lets see if the tune is good or not?

And like what others have mentioned.. don't get too caught up on the dyno #s..

Am I the only one that thinks that's really low? What kinda dyno was it on? Usually the charts I've seen are about 300 with similar mods

Depending on the dyno no, but you wouldnt believe how restrictive the factory cat back section of the exhaust is. That alone should free up another 10+ hp.
