if you plan on just running stock turbo w/ high boost, you can't go wrong w/ Greddy kits. No cutting, no removal of front bumper beams or any modifications. No need to trim under tray. Comes with Aluminum lower ic pipes and very high quality couplers and clamps. The fit and finish is unsurpassed. They have been making EVO specific intercoolers for decades!! You will never have any fitment issues

As for GT or other big turbo setup, anything on the market will do very well. We have tested many and we are currently running the Perrin FMIC w/ custom aluminum ic pipes They work very well on our time attack cars.

Looks crooked to me..

A BR RACE CORE IS ABOUT THE BIGGEST AND BADDEST YOU CAN FIT ON A EVO 8/9 AND ITS 172MPH PROVEN, THE REST ARE JUST NICE,SHINY, AND JUST AS GOOD BUT NOT QUITE..

ETS ExtremeTurboSystems.com Call em up, they will help you with ANYTHING you need, and they have the best service (in my opinion) out of anyone here.

ams all the way they intercooler is setup for high power oputputs they dont need ot take up the whole bumper ams fmic leaves space on side of bumper

if u r going for looks thne go for a huge fmic but ams ha sperformed very well with big turbo setups so has BR

in my opinion i would go AMS or BR both fmic r amazing only thing is with BR u need to cut at the bumper with the AMS setup u dont have to

I have not seen one piece of hard data on the ETS core. Several posters say go with the ETS FMIC, but why (other than price)? I would like to see temperature drop and pressure drop on the ETS 3.5" core, as well as fins / inch (external and internal) or bars / inch, etc....Does ETS even have a dyno and test equipment?

There are only a few companies that make the cores, the rest is in the end tank design. I have never tested the Nisei cooler, but like the looks of the cast end tanks.

Dave B. seems to be very open about his r&d and testing process, which I think is great for all of us...

we have had great success with many of the fmic's we've used, ams, ets, pwr, perrin etc...

ets 4" was on our shop project car, it worked excellent.

I bealive ,the best FMIC is deppend on your set up. What you want to have or will have.
Sometimes not the best of the best, is good for you. Example:
if you will be mildly modifyed ,then you will just trhow out the money for the racing one.
So i would say pick your set up and then you can match the FMIC to it.
Don't spend the money if its unneccesery.
i got the XSengeneering. It fits for my set up and the turbo. that is all i care.
