What else is there to know? It's an '04 Evo VIII with the SSL package, there's nothing else to decipher. You know you don't have an RS, and the MRs didn't come out until '05.

Are these serious questions?

It IS a 2004 Evolution VIII. There was never officially a GSR trim level in the U.S., though the standard Evo (not an RS, MR or SE model) is commonly referred to as the GSR. So you can say you have a GSR, but most people just call it the SSL rather than GSR SSL. Don't make it more complicated than it needs to be.

both. Its an 04 Evo VIII GSR. There are 3 models: RS, GSR, AND MR. MR came out in 05 and RS doesn't have SSL.

Oh, I must've forgot, the second you touch an Evo steering wheel, you're instantly informed of the specific evo models and years .

thanks.

Only one model of Evo comes with the SSL package. That would be the GSR. The MR, SE, and RS don't/can't have it because of the aluminum roof.

How do you buy a car and NOT know what model you got?

The moment you go to buy a car you find out the model and year. You gotta be retarded not to.

Take a look at some of his other posts and his follow-ups. Your assessment isn't that far off from reality.

He claims to have a 2.3 kit in his sig, yet doesn't know what trim level his Evo is?

Sounds fishy.
