Just installed first mods...

Hey guys. Just installed my first mods on my 05 evo. I have a question on the performance after these parts were installed. Ill start with the mods:

BR 02 housing
Turboxs DP
TXS Test Pipe
TXS 3in catback
act clutch
flywheel
wal fuel pump

Now i havent got a tune yet, which will make a considerable difference but it doesnt seem to be as responsive as when it was stock. I have checked for leaks and havent found any. I was wondering if maybe installing the fuel pump without the tune will cause the car to run extra rich making it lose power. It seems very laggy down low and the top end doesnt really pull as hard as i would have expected from those mods. Anyone experience this with these mods and no tune??

Thanks in advance for the help.

you need to tune the car very soon. and then you will see real gain + you will be safe.
I would get some MBC. + dropp in filter, before i go to tune it.
it will cost you both, less then $180. Then tune wich is will deppened on your tuner or your needs /Mail in or custom/ i would go for custom tune ,its way better.

I've been told that the fuel pump can make ya run a little "more" rich. Now I know everyone says to get a tune with any and all bolt-ons but I ran my car for 3 days before my tune with the bolt-ons in my sig except for the HKS RS, I had a K&N drop-in at the time and if anything it felt more responsive. I'm sure one of these gurus on the boards can help ya out better. Good luck with your car

thanks for the quick responses. yea, the tune will make a world a difference. i just didnt expect the car to feel the way it does after those mods. i plan on getting a mbc and intake before the tune and take it ivey or al. still havent decided who i am going with. have been doing a lot of reading on it.

Your boost is lower than stock right now. You opened up the exhaust. MBC and a tune will make a world of difference.

yea, after a lot of reading, i hear a lot better stuff about ivey than al. i know al has worked a ton more evos so thats probably why theres more bad stuff said about him. ive met al once and seemed like an ok guy, but i can tell he had this "attitude" about him that probably gets a lot of guys on here pissed off, thats why there are some bad things said about him. i am leaning towards ivey at this point.

Actually after thinking about it, wouldnt it overboost having a free flowing exhaust? I dont understand why it would lose boost.

evogsrviii, check out www.mellontuning.com if you haven't already, pricing and info about how the process works and what's required to get started (software/cable)

let me know if you have any questions

and yes, installing a walbro on an evo8 is going to make it incredibly rich until you're tuned.
