is the MR worth it for 33k?
I think mine was

Maybe, but it wouldn't be fair to factor in deals, since were talking about things in general, so MSRP is the only fair gauge to use when comparing things in relative terms. My SE was definitely worth the $29999 price of admission, but that's because I got the EvoM deal.

^ Ah, it's cool. For some reason, I have a hard time sensing sarcasm on EvoM. But yeah, it's all good. An Evo is an Evo.

Love my IX SE. I think it's by far the best deal. People can cry all day about this but it's just a thread of opinions like everything else on here. I remember having conversations with friends about someone buying a car a little out of their budget range and settling for the lower model instead of getting something they could afford. I swore I would always get the best trim of any car I bought but I don't consider the MR the best trim so it's SE FTW!!

I would love to own an MR but I bought my evo when the first production came out and I wanted TB so there was no MR in TB (damn mitsu) until recently...I didn't want the ssl package as well...but I agree the SE would be the model to get but IMHO the Tarmac Black IX MR is a beauty to own....

The SE is so elite looking - I love it, but then also when I see an RS- I kinda feel the same way. Love the rarer evos.

Not many here in the midwest.

I have an IX SE but wish I got the MR BECAUSE OF ITS 6sp. From the one MR that I test drove, shifting was much smoother and with as much highway driving I do, I'd save some gas with that extra gear.

Since nobody likes the 6sp tranny in their MR, anyone wanna swap with 5sp?

If I could have gotten a white RS, I'd be driving one. Instead I'm driving a silver MR. I love the ride, especially since changing the tires out for the Advan Sport. The 6 speed shifts silky smooth. When I go to the dragstrip I wish it was a 5 speed car. When I'm driving to work or on a trip I think I'm in heaven.
