s2k to evo?? should I?
You can get a stock evo if look for a while. Last week I bought a completely stock 2004 EVO 8 with 14K miles for $19K. The only thing that was changed in the car were the front tires and the battery. Everything else was as it came out of the dealer. It was from a Doctor that did not used it a lot since he had 2 other cars. The car used Motul oil every 3 to 4K miles and it still smells like new. My friends cant believe the condition of the car. I guess I was lucky. Mellon Tuning comming soon.
I hate to say it but you should trade it in if want the evo i just did it last week and im lovin the evo, well i do also love my old s2000 too it was sad to see it go no more drop top damn im going miss that

Nice! I bought my car used from a Dr. as well. 05 MR w/ 10,000 miles for 23k. They give sweet deals since the car was pennies to him!

My dad in our old S2k at Miller Motorsports Park. Supercharger, R compounds, full cage, gutted, blah di blah... It was a fully track prepped car... Could've been pushing 350ish whp but it would overheat much faster on the track at that power so they had it around 270ish as I recall. I'm pretty sure this was before he switched to the turbo and the Moton Motorsports... Regardless, that's a Carrera GT with a pretty good driver behind the wheel.
I LOVED the go-kart feel of the S2k, some people hate it. The Evo felt like a bumpy version of my grandma's cadillac that some how can turn on a dime and go 120+ without making me sweat, and still pick up groceries (that basically all means it felt like a sedan
)... I just like the "true" race car feel of the S2k, the Evo was so forgiving that especially after I got slicks it was just a Sunday drive when I'd go out to the track...

I have both the s2k and Evo IX. In the summer the s2k is unbeatable, in the rain/snow it's not so much fun. I had 30k saved up for my Evo and after I got the Evo I looked back on what I could have done to the s2k and realized that I made the right decision, having 4 doors, room to get comfy and spread out and less road noise then the s2k was really nice, I do though really enjoy getting into the s2k and running it through the gears, vtec isn't as fun as it once was but you can really respect the quality of the entire s2k package. One thing to point out for me though I was second owner of my s2k and I got mine for 15k to use at that time as a daily driver with some attitude, after owning it for a few months I was thinking about updating it from the 01 to the 04+ and when I started looking around I was not willing to pay 30+ for s2k performance when the Evo had so much more and AWD.
