Hey guys, I just bought my '06 MR and it's looking a little "stock." I was wondering if anyone had ideas of what would be good to do first...

 

Ralliart front Lip. Rims. Also check out the Chargespeed "Bottom Line" Diffuser kit. I think its really sharp.

 

Lowering the car on some nice springs or coilvers always makes and EVO look nice.

 

I say get a 30R turbo kit and all supporting mods. And a nice set of coilovers

 

That all depends what you want; power, looks, handling, entertainment?

 

evos look great stock... so go spend your money on some track days and learn how to use your new hammer.

 

Wow, some of the worst suggestions ever. Lower the car on some springs? WTF? Ask yourself what you want out of the car then edit your post.

 

I'd like to do some appearance mods such as a lip but I'd probably be more happy dumping what money I have left into performance mods, any suggestions for that?

 

Driver mod i.e Learn how to drive it first. Don't end up like all the "I wrecked my Evo" guys. But really, invest in a driving school like Skip Barber. Then after that, suspension.

 

Driving schools like skip barber costs a few thousand dollars for skills you would need on a racetrack but aren't really that relevant on public roads. To make use of those skills would mean pushing you car to its limit. I would much rather spend money on a fp grean and then practice cornering with cones in a parking lot.

 

If you're going for the power dept. you can never go wrong with a TBE, a proven intake (or intake and IC piping kit like the Injen kit) and a good tune for starters. Learning how to drive it is also key, and be careful on that clutch if it's stock (i.e. hard launches aren't a good idea lol).
