Have a evo ix with tbe and drop in filter and was wondering if i can drive without a tune for awhile or is that bad??

 

The official answer would be to play it safe and get a tune, but there are people on this forum that have a drop in w/o a tune.

Are you planning to open up the exhaust side? If so (you probably already know this) you should definitely get a tune with mods on the i/e side.

 

yes i am getting a tune, just didnt have the money rite there and then

Yers you will be fine, just watch your boost when its really cold out due to a spike. The Evo comes with enough fuel from the factory to run your mods untuned! You just won't feel much of a gain, this is where the tune comes in Have fun I drove mine for like 2K miles untuned an my A/Fs were in the 10's on the Base map.

I'm having no problems with mine being untuned and i have those mods.
