New Guy/Old Guy
So I have an 03 Evo now. I have been driving an 03 WRX wagon for the last 5 years, only because when I bought the WRX it was the only AWD/Turbo car on the market. The Evo and STI hadn't come out quite yet.
I am not new to DSM's or 4g63's or Mitsubishi's. My old car was a 95 GSX with a 6 bolt swap. I did it back in 99-00 when I lived in Colorado and it was still a relatively new thing. I have had a various assortment of DSM's since totaling the GSX which I did into the back of a truck coming off of I-70 in Denver. GVR4's,a Talon, another Eclipse. Also worked on a few for friends during the years.
I got the Evo because I could really. It was available so I bought it. It's silver, no mods, pretty much an Evo, looks like an Evo, you've seen it before.
No current plans for it until I start my new trabajo next week and then I'll think about it.
Sorry I don't have any dumb questions. I've had my 95 GSX down the frame basically so none of the, "what first mod?" "How much HP will I have?" "Will it beat an STI?" questions. I already know the answers.
I live in Texas now and still hang out with the Subie guys. I haven't met alot of the Evo owners around here and am already overtaxed tuning the Subies in town. Actually doing a clutch on a WRX this Saturday for a guy.
So, I'll be around, skulking. I'll probably mod it. Probably snap a timing belt, and have to rebuild it. Just thinking ahead...

Dumb question stifle.
I'm hoping to find a few local Evo owners soon and see what the general condition of the crowd is. My new trabajo will probably allow me to turn the Evo into more than just a fast DD. I also have my DSM gearhead friend moving down here from Ohio in a few months and we are looking at some major improvements, possibly opening a shop of some sort since we both have our ASE cert's lined up and a piggy bank to pull from.
Thanks for the welcome aboard and I'll be as active as I can be.
