I had this happen in another fuel injected car....did you turn the car to the 'on' position without cranking it (after filling it up with gas again) and let it sit there for a minute to let the fuel pump fill the line? That worked for me after a few cranks it was fine. What year evo? You could have sucked in some crap from the bottom of your tank by letting it run out....

The fuel pump gets really HOT when theres no fuel. Likely you burned the pump up. I would tap a 12 volt source and ground and see if the pump does anything. You should be okay sitting it in some water to see if its working.

Maybe you sucked water out of the bottom of your tank and it froze in your line. Get a bottle of isopropyl alcohol (HEAT, etc.) and see if that gets it going.

This sounds kinda like what just happen to me..before you think the worst ..like a burnt fuel pump...My car ran out of gas and got cranked (not by me) and it would not start even with more gas...took out the spark plugs..cleaned them...and boom started right up...maybe it will work for u...no harm in trying..really easy to do..
