Dyno figures on a stock IX....

i read various sources that claim that every stock factory Evo IX does 255hp/250tq on a dyno, which translates into 305-310hp, and 300tq. and that Mitsu officially under-rates the Hp figures (at 286/289) for the usual commercial, govt, and insurance reasons. Just the fact that so many changes and upgrades were done to Evo IX over the Evo VIII, and yet it only gained like a couple hp, and a few ft-lb of Tq, kinda makes u scratch your head...

anyone know anything about it. not just your opinion, but does anyone have any real info on this ?!?

you didnt ask a question... you made a statement, and not so much to what you are looking for.

your dyno hp is only a refrence number. Gas quality, air temp, elevation and car temp are some of the other factors that may affect your numbers.

In the Dynojets in Socal (Tuning Technologies), IX's were around 265ish whp, and the VIII's were around 250ish whp. So, IX made signicantly made more power

mustang dynos are load based, dynojets are roll speed based i believe.

as far as what to search for.... go to google and type in your question

now that was a retarded thing to say... you asked a question, however terribly worded it was... and you got an answer. Sometimes the easiest thing to do is google. Especially when its not an evo specific question. You are asking an overall dyno howcome question. If you posted this in the general section instead of the newbie section, you'd a gotten a more educated experience response from the people that would know the answer you are looking for
