drop in is cheeper

It really depends on what you want. I have a cone style one cause I wanted to hear my bypass valve better. At part throttle at low RPM my turbo flutters a little bit every now and then which prolly wouldnt happen with a drop in but it doesnt affect driving enough to matter and I drive the car everyday. I think a little of that is normal anyway.

I would recommend the cone/open element filter. The best design I have seen is the AEM intake....maintains the factory scoop, comes with a heat shield (which i have logged and maintains the air as cool as the stock airbox) & has a dry/washable filter. I have also seen about a 2 psi increase at red line over the k&n drop-in...

To each his own...

DO NOT BUY THE K&N INTAKE! Cant believe no one has said this yet.

Look at the Buschur Racing Upgrade sequences. They are a great start for upgrading and make ALOT of power for the money. Especially if you install it all yourself!
