HIDs for the IX GSR
Trending Topics

......Anyway, Get your self a HID kit with the correct base on the bulbs, wire up the ballast and your good to go. A better option, but way more expensive, would be to get either JDM or USDM factory HID housings with an HID kit. That way you get fogs, correct beam pattern (USDM), and if your creative enough, you can even wire up the headlight levelers. The local harbor freight even sells an HID kit.
Good luck.

Good luck.I have heard (on other vehicles) that the light pattern for HID vs conventional lights is way different. That just sticking HID bulbs into a normal housing is not the greatest idea. Is this true with an evo? I would like to upgrade to HIDs in my IX gsr, but i want to do it purely for better night visiblity not just for the "HID look." Will just putting ballasts and bulbs into my current housings give me better visibility (speaking in terms of 4000k OEM type HID kits).
