Like everyone else said just get which ever ones you want. If you dont want a lot of lope I would get 264's I've got a buddy that has them and they dont lope hardly at all.

I have been told that cam gears are not the way to go; a lot of shops won’t use them because if they slip for some reason you might as well get a new head. Get the 264 intake and exhaust, you won’t have any problem with the smog, and there is not a lot of lobe. Honestly you won’t even know the difference when you listen to the exhaust. Both are good cams, it comes down to personal preference. I hope this answers all of your questions.

For what purpose?
Do you want street power or drag race power? Is it a daily driver or a dyno queen? Do you want extra power at low and mid range? Or at mid and high range? Do you drive mostly in the 4-6,000rpm range or in the 6-8,000rpm range?
Mine is a pure street EVO and DD. I wanted low and mid range power. So, I went with HKS 264/264. And I run them straight up - no need for cam gears on a DD, IMNSHO.

yeah man, i want my evo to be like a street car, not a dyno queen. i kinda wanted to say that i wanted it to be a street car but i thought people would be dicks to me about it. how much faster does the hks cams make it. i like to just drive around and race who ever comes up(well with a car that car try or have a good run) and just be faster that any evo with an exhaust and an intake. thanks for the info man
