From IX turbo to fp green....Is it worth it?

Hey all, same guy tryin to get 400whp here
Just thought Id start a new thread, to not mess up the old one. Anyway, like the title states, is it worth it? I know the fp green is an awesome small turbo, but I was just wondering if for the money, to just hold off for something a little bigger? Ive seen other "mid sized" setups for around the same, used ofcourse....I just dont want to fork out and only see 20-30whp over what I currently have. Should I hold off, and skip it
Yes, ive done research, I just wanna know other ppls opinions, that have seen/had/experienced this first-hand. Thanx again ppl

not sure of your set up but i also have the evo9 but i only run 23psi at most... and the fpgreen doesnt really show what it can do unless yours running 26+psi.so if you are running those lbs then it is def worth it... otherwise waste of your time and money...
The turbo is awesome, but i wish i went bigger. if your goal is 400hp, i hit that on a dyno dynamics on pump gas, so this turbo might be for you.
I want around 550-600hp, so this turbo is alittle small for me.

i beg to differ with this statement, i'll agree that the true potential of the FP green shines after 26psi, however, as far as running 20psi on the OEM 16g, then 20psi on the FP green their will be pretty large changes in the airflow! this is the reason for upgrading the turbo, because higher pressure is heat, if you can run the OEM 16g at 23psi and max airflow is 550 cfm, assuming thats still the cfm rating (need to read up on the evo9's) the fp green will flow much more air at the same psi, and inorder to not notice a difference, you would have to turn the boost down below the 550cfm mark, because one must also account for the added heat!
Moral of the story,
low boost+High airflow > High boost+low airflow
^ I agree with everything u said, but wouldnt high psi + cooling factors(i.e good intercooler/ I/C sprayer etc, also work? Obviously turbo would wear faster with the added psi, this I know......

depends if you wanna drop the change for somthing you cant really upgrade down the road if i was in his shoes i would save up and get a 50 trim yes i no its not as great as the green but it leaves you open for alot more turbo choices from a 3076 to a 40r or larger im just not into spending money on something i cant upgrade later want more power its only a swap away
If you have a stock 9 turbo... and your trying to get rid of it. dont go w/ the FP Green one man. go w/ a 35r kit. you will be happy if you wait and hold off..
stock evo 9 turbos can make power..
