Evo or Mustang
Hey what do you guys think about the Mustang GT? Ive always wanted one and now i have the option of getting one or an evo 8. Which do you think would be better for straight line performance? I wont be doing a lot of mods so i only want maybe like 350-400hp since it will be my daily ( if even that much). I know the evo kills it in the snow but if i dont drive like an *** i should be fine when winter comes.(Snow tires + Traction control) If i decide to get an evo i would have to have it shipped or drive down to get it and the mustang i can get from a dealer down the street. So which do you think would be best? All wheel drive is a plus but theres rarely any snow here and when there is i can always get the Snow Tires/Traction.

You've got to look at more than power. The mustang is notorious for poor handling (overall performance handling, not just "ride") especially when compared to the evolution. If its a new mustang, you'll have a nicer interior but the performance is infinitely more biased to the evo

I have raced a 06 mustang gt on drag radials and full exhaust with no cats and I beat him by at least a couple of cars. When all I had was a stage 3 kevlar clutch and spare tire out of the car.
Although the evo is faster 9 out of 10 peoplein the stands who dont know crap about cars say the mustang is faster .....

because it seems as now a days evos, cobras, supras, camaros etc are now kings of the roads and my gt seems worthless without dumping tons of money into it while going the forced induction route. i agree that the mustang platform is a pos (with the exception of the cobra engines)while the evo in every way is superior.

Wow.
The EVO, definatley! . . . . . A mustang?.......Come on! . . . . . Get a mustang just like a Billion other people in the US.... Even my little sister has one..... An 04- for her sweet 16 
!!!! When I was looking into getting an new car -I had a GS-t and I was debating between an Evo-Sti- or a G35........... Go test drive the both, and the think about this: The Mustang is an f***** V-8!...... What a weak piece of S***!
