generally speaking, it's because of the all wheel drive train.

In daily driving I get around 20-21 mpg with 330hp on a mustang dyno. The key is in the tuning. Mind you when I am getting on the car I get a lot less, 15-18 mpg. I would get the car tuned by a reputable tuner and expect to be supprised. Good luck.

Well, took it to the stealership and had them replace the tranny fluid, and it shifts a lot smoother now (I think), and I've been working on shifting, so that's all good.

My friend was driving behind me the other day and said that when I get on it black smoke is coming out of my exhaust. Not extremely bad, but enough to definitely notice...

Think I'm gonna get a downpipe and tune it and hopefully smooth some stuff out...

What could be causing the car to run rich? I wouldn't think the BOV would have an affect, probably the intake?

Oh, and how many cats are there on the stock Evo IX? Two? Because I'm about to buy a downpipe and I read that I'd also have to get a strait pipe?

Will the downpipe/test pipe bolt up to the rest of the stock exhaust system? Or should I just sell the muffler and get a full TBE?
