Plz Help! weird noise

i have searched for quite a while now and im just getting more frustrated,
i have a loud almost clunk kind of noise when i come to a complete stop.
it doesnt happen every time and is impossible to duplicate it just happens when it wants to.
i had it about a month after i got my car and sounded like it was coming from the drivers side front but now after a minor accident and repair it sounds a little different and from the passenger side
it sounds like something is stuck and gets released at complete stop.
any insight and help would be awesome!

its bone stock
could ball joints and tie end rods be like that within the first month of owning the car? is it something i should notice right off the bat when i see it?
thanks for giving me a idea of where to start looking ill get under her tonight and see if i can find the problem.
it seriously sounds like the brake sheild is stuck then released at the stop
like a thin metal part is held up until the very last second of the stop

1) Is the passenger and driver seat actually still firmly bolted down (hey its happned :P)
2) Things in the trunk or spare wheel well
3) Any loose items in the engine bay :P

I'm guessing your not stock enough to take it to the stealership .

I guess its time to get a prybar and test all your bushings for clunkyness along with checking the motor mounts.

Edit:
Curious where was your accident? It may be worth looking at the area if they had to take the suspension apart or half apart.

i nailed a javalina at a high rate of speed on the driver side front, they said just a motormount got bent and some nasty cosmetic damage. and the acd pump fell

Basically just use that bar to place some tension on the joints and see if they bottom out. I would take a look at the changed pieces in your driver's front side since you've mentioned it.

i figured out how to recreat the noise. it only happenes after the car has been turned off and back on. it only happens once after that. but at a red light i turn the car off and at the next red light ill get the noise again.
i dont see how that could make a difference any ideas
