I don't know if it's just me or does the paint on the 2006 Lancer Evolution fragile and chip really easily?

Well I can tell you from my own experience w/ my 06 AS evo ix, the paint chipped on the top part of my lip w/ in the first month of having the car... Now there are like 3 nice size gashes along with a few chips on the top of the lip...

It is all Mitsubishi paint in general.. Very thin, scratches easily, and gets lots of chips. If you search around you will see tons of post complaining about the lack of quality of Mitsu paint.

Damn....that's a bummer!!

I didn't realize that. I'll still end up getting one soon. I'm in love with the styling and performance.

the paint chips come from the quick acceleration and speed, welcome to the evo

Seems like most new car paint chips really easily. The paint on the 350Z I had before the Evo seemed like it would chip if you just looked at it too hard. The Evo seems to be a little better but then again I don't loiter behind big tired vehicles at all. The best thing for the Evo is a 3M clear bra, but they are kinda expensive.
