The seam on my steering wheel at the bottom started to open. It is a 2-3 mm flap of thin leather. I took it to the dealer, but because I was the second owner they would not fix it. They said the part was $1k. The car had less then 4k miles on it. I glued it back with leather glue. Is this a common problem?

 

yea i have had the same problem but i really havent bothered with it just yet.

 

it happened on my 06 not on my 05.

the little plastic parts were missing on the stems of my wheel too. yours? mine looked like it was not quite finished completly. dealer replaced mine.

 

just buy a new steering wheel here on the board for $100.00
