Ca;; Emery at Street Tuned. www.streettunedmotorsports.com

He has hooked me up with all of my gauges and is a great guy!

Get the AEM Digital Boost Gauge, UEGO Wideband, and: Volt, Oil or Fuel Pressure.

The AEM Digital Boost Gauge doesn't have a boost controller, that is the Tru-Boost. And for the Boost Gauge, Get the 50 PSI gauge.

I honestly think all comparable gauges are accurate enough. defi's are $$$$ and has more brand-image. They are accurate, but I don't see why other comparable(Greddy, blitz, apexi....and on) gauges aren't accurate.

almost all gauges are off some! The reason that AEM gauges are the most accurate is because the boost gauge uses a map sensor instead of just a boost hose. Any boost gauge that is MAP sensor based, is going to be the most accurate!

"Idrinkv8s"- You are talking about the AEM Tru-Boost, that gauges is about $300 and only goes up to 29 PSI, unless you buy a 5 bar MAP sensor, which is about another $200! So if you want to use this to boost 30+ PSI, it will cost you almost $500!

I am talking about the Digital Boost Gauge, the one that STM sells will go from -30 to 50 PSI. It is $200! He already stated he has a MBC, so why pay $300 more just to replace something he already has! His MBC will most likely go as high as he wants. I say hes better off keeping that, getting the Digital Boost Gauge, and spending that saved $300 torwards another part, or a tune!

Defi is more flash than anything, its all about image.

Its funny, VDO makes some of the cheapest gauges on the market, yet their sending units are some of the best and their gauges read just as if not more acurate than the $200 gauges.

Defi is nice if you have the money, if not check out what 42 Draft Designs has to offer with VDO suff.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why VDO gauges aren't more popular with the Evo community. Their quality is first-rate, they're very accurate, and they're reasonably priced as a bonus. If I didn't have factory gauges, I would have bought VDO without a moment of hesitation.

As my crystal ball is out of commission, you may find references to similarly equipped cars if you search. BTW, there's no character limit on this forum. Please feel free to type words as they're spelled.

I think it is because they are not flashy, or considered the "in" thing with the import crowd. BMW and Porsche guys swear by them, as do I. I think its ridiculous to spend $600+ on a three gauge setup, but I guess Im in the minority in this forum.
