Air Force or military in general.... concerns Evo's
I have an evo x, but i got mine through cash and student loan. Im in air force rotc right now, when i get out ill be a 2nd Lt. Anyone think ill have problems affording the insurance gas and the loan payment? Around 510 a month on the loan.
yea picked up mine for 27k with 16k miles on it a IX, payments are 400 insurance is about 800 every six months but i'm in alaska so its more expensive. i'm E4 in the airforce, bought it when i was e3
I am not trying to critizise you bro but your question is so vague.. there are like so many ranks in the enlisted structure, there are so many insurance companies, there are soo many different rates base on the different states, there are soo many different people with different driving records that will directly affect their insurace rates and besides all that you financing/credit also could significantly affect your rates.
It sums up like this, it does not matter if you are enlisted, it matters every single aspect I mentioned above as well, your payments will be determined by many different things. There is no specific answer to your questions.
Just join the military, get your credit score good, get a good driving record, stiock to USAA and get their financing, banking and insurance and get a Evo in a year or so.

as an E3 ill be trying to buy one a stock 8 ..but yea ill try to see how the finances work out goes cause through tech school i might not even be able to drive off anywere..., but yea i apprecialte all you guys help on this forum i wish y'all a happy 4th....
I didn't read every post through here but your best bet would be wait until you are done with basic/tech school and buy a car when you get to your first assignment....there's always a chance you get sent overseas and then you are stuck with car payments and no car....all the while you could be saving that $$ and could buy something better/nicer when you get back. Also, depending on how long your tech school is, you might not even be able to use it really.
As mentioned, USAA is fantastic so long as you already have a good driving record. I'd also recommend opening an ING savings account (highest interest rate ive seen from any bank, INGdirect.com) and saving as much as you can until you find that special car.
