My friend has what they used to call the ACT 2900 and has done A LOT of launches and he's upwards of 500 hp. It grabs absolutely great and he has had no problems. He uses the ACT prolite flywheel. I'll be doing the same clutch but not the same flywheel. I'm going witht the streetlite flywheel.

In regards to topic of clutches, how the hell do I adjust the clutch pedal. I saw the how-to thread and it seems very easy but once I get down there, I have like no room whatsoever to loosen the lock nut or anything. I can't even get a wrench in there. Do I need like a special really tiny wrench? I don't know what that blue piece and black box are but if I could just remove that, I would have perfect access to loosen it. Any suggestions?

It can be a little tight down there but push your seat all the way back and then get on your back. It helps if you have some sort of head lamp to keep your hands free. The trick to loosening the bolt is to wiggle the clutch peddle as you turn the nut. It is actually possible to loosen it up with your hand while wiggling the peddle if not use a small crescent wrench to loosen it up first and then use your fingers after it starts turning. Just remember to wiggle it while you turn it. Good luck.

GSC S1's, tbe, intake, 93 octane, walbro, tune, 23psi. But the car does not care what parts you use to make hp and tq. It will not care if you have a greddy ex. or an hks. Anything below 450hp and 450tq you will be fine with the street disc, and that's being conservative. Act rates this clutch at 508 lb./ft.

uhhhhhhh, ok. Was that a sentence? Are you sure it was the ACT organic street disc on your type R? I think that for the level of power Landis wants to make the Exedy is overkill. I can not justify paying that price. Don't get me wrong, they are awesome clutches but $1200 plus install to hold like 370 horses is excessive. I know plenty of people with 450+hp running the ACT street disc with zero problems. And this get what you pay for is definately not always true. Look at high priced exhausts. Are you gonna tell me that an $1100 AMS tbe performs any better than a $600 Megan?
