What clutch should I get?

Hey guys, posting this in newbie section since I don't have too much background on this stuff. My clutch is starting to catch right near the top of the pedal so I have a feeling it will start slipping soon and then time for new clutch. So I'm just preparing myself for when the time comes. Which clutch should I get? I think a lot of people are getting ACT clutches so I guess I will do the same. Not sure which ACT though. My car I'm not planning on pushing crazy power, maybe 350 whp max and torque same thing so I'd like something that can definitely handle that power. Also, how do I know if I need a new pressure plate or flywheel?

I have the TTP spec ACT 6 puck sprung on my MR and it works great. Definitly holds the power.
I put down 382 recently on a Mustang Dyno.

It takes a little getting use to driving it but its not bad at all.

That is definately not the clutch you want. PM us with information about what your power goals are and how you most use the clutch.

Thanks

so is the clutch i thought of a good one, i dont really launch from 5500 rpms, and usually normal driving, if not then fast shifting, i dont usually drop the clutch wen im shifting, at most 5 times a month(like i said at MOST, prolly not even that much) and my sig are my power goals

I'm a bit surprised you guys don't recommend that clutch. Why don't you recommend it and what would you recommend?

A Poll answers nothing.. Honestly.. research on here.. my personal opinion from knowing both the exedy twin and the quartermaster is that the quarter master is a the superior clutch.. I'll look for a link around here where people discussed it.

From the sounds of it for both you guys, a twin disk is overkill. With power levels around 350-400 whp and occasional track use, I would check out the following.

ACT HDSS, Fidanza 3.2, Spec Stage 2+, and Works clutch kit. I personally have owned both an ACT HDSS and a Fidanza 3.2.

I have the ACT streetlite clutch and flywheel kit and I love it.
The turbo spools a hair quicker and the clutch grabs really nicely but is still easy enough to drive on the street without breaking your leg.
