I think the pics of the black Evo are not of good quality - the rims look like diamond black BBSs to me.

You're supposed to have diamond black, which is like a polished silver finish.

I have an MR and they look like regular MR rims. Where is the vortex generator? Is this an reg. MR with the SE lip? If it has 6spd. and red stitching that's proof you got the MR SE. Although I don't know why they would swap out those perty diamond black wheels!

It has a vortex generator, It has a six speed, and it has regular MR wheels, Here are more pictures of the seats, and a close up of the front air dam. I bought it used with $k miles maybe the previous owner traded the wheels, or the regular mr cames in black, and you can get these seats and this front air dam.

Hear is a close up looking down at the front bumper a little to the drivers side

OK so I am starting to think the previous owner of my car was not that bright. I have now seen the regular evo seats. Mine are definitely red stitched. I also have a black MR with a front air dam that sticks out further then other ixs I've seen. As I mentioned the car had 4k miles when I got it. At 8k miles I had to replace the tires, because the insides of the front tires wore through. I knew I had not hit any potholes, so I assumed the previous owner had. I got the car aligned, and according to the sheet they barely changed anything. The alignment was not bad. I was surprised that such a little adjustment could be the difference between killing a set of tire in 8k, vrs 15k miles. There was plenty of tread left if not for the bad wear. So I think the previous owner traded my (correction his) wheels with someone whose car needed to be aligned. That is how I got an SE with regular MR wheels, and uneven wear with proper alignment.
The dealer said that it was a lease repo, so I know the owner did not know what he could afford.

Ok you have the red stitching and a 6spd so this car is a MR SE. Congrats. The previous owner like you said may have switched wheels because of the alignment issue. All Evos have this problem where it eats away the inside tread, just how they come from the factory. An alignment will fix this problem.

You were claiming 2 weeks ago that you own a white SE and that your "friend" supposedly has a red one. Then, you argued vehemently against anything said as an attempt to set the record straight. Is there a chance of you posting a pic of your white SE for the forum's edification, when no such thing was produced by Mitsubishi?

This was your post and the discussion that followed:

bottom line, if its black, and its an MR, it has to be an SE.

there were no black MRs, that were not SEs.

The 2006 TB MR only came in a se trim. Previous owner decided to keep the original wheels

I called mitsu, and gave them the vin. they told me all it said was black lancer evolution mr. no other details, and the black had another name, which I can't remember.
the stitching in the back seats is red too, and it came black from the factory.

MRs come in 5 colors.

Black
Silver
Gray
White
Red - the rarest.

If you have the SE lip and red stitching, its a SE.

So you have a MR SE. End to thread.
