I met another guy in town who claims to be running 21 psi on the stock turbo. I am new to the evo game, and am just wondering if I can call bs.

 

nope...i'm pretty sure you can run even up to 25 psi on stock turbo, maybe even more but i'm not so sure...i run 23 psi tuned.

 

Are you kidding? 21psi is barely above stock, which is 19.5-20.3psi depending on the year. We run 30 or more psi on the stock turbo with higher octane fuel.

Laf @ trying to call bs on 21psi, haha. I guess you don't have a boost gauge yet.

I'd hope so - that's stock boost and no reason for knock with AFRs in the 9s from the factory.

I hear about guys running 28 lbs with 110 or meth injection on the stock evo 9 turbo's all the time. That's what I plan on doing
